Stage 1 – Registration & ideation
1. Create or join a team of up to 4 members, or work on your own.
Throughout the first stage, we’ll hold two webinars to answer your questions and guide you during the ideation stage.
Each team must upload their presentations to their participation space before 23.59 (GMT) on November 3rd, 2019! Submissions must be made in English.
The voting stage will take place between November 4th, 2019 and November 9th, 2019. Up
to 50 teams will be selected to go through to the second round. An expert jury will rank your
projects based on the assessment criteria. The selected teams will be notified on November 10th, 2019.
Stage 2 – Development
During the development stage, your team will create an advanced map on your chosen topic and continue to develop and refine your idea.
Your team will be assigned to a mentor who will support your team and provide guidance. You will receive online coaching from HERE experts via the platform – use your coach’s recommendations to improve your project (technical development, feasibility, etc.). You will be invited to add dataset(s) of your choice and use the wide range of features (colors, shapes, arrows, etc.) that the tool offers.
your map and its functionalities, as well as a presentation up to 20 pages of the created map and its potential impact. All submissions must be in English and uploaded to the platform by 23:59 (GMT) on December 1st, 2019.
The voting stage will take place between December 2nd, 2019 and December 5th, 2019. Up
to ten teams will be selected to participate in the final. The finalists will be notified on December 6th, 2019.
Stage 3 – The online final
Between December 6th and December 12th, you’ll have one week to finalize your map and
prepare a three-minute presentation, including a short map demonstration. The ten teams
of finalists will have the opportunity to pitch their solutions to the jury. Teams can participate
from anywhere in the world, as the final will be held online.
